Guys, here is a small article as part of the ongoing sessions and the expansion of potential.
Boys, right away, so there is no unnecessary garbage around this:
I am not judging these people.
Their views, their life — none of it concerns me.
What concerns me is my family — Roman and you —
and how we are building Cobra.
Everything else is each person’s choice.
I do not care about that.
I am writing all of this to show a retrospective
and the difference in thinking.
You know, the matter is understandable:
for something to become something,
you simply have to invest in it —
advertising,
money,
and so on.
HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?
But here is the thing.
How does it happen that one hotel is good,
but small,
with not much money,
yet, as they say, it has soul?
And the second one is such garbage that it is scary to look at,
but apparently it is “high level.”
🤢
And there is a third option:
when there is soul
and a lot of money.
Obviously, I am for the third one.
THE FIRST VIDEO
https://youtu.be/4RgU4zjQp4M?si=haXx-mUu-TO4E_-EHere is the first video.
I did not watch it all the way through,
only by skipping around,
because I kept trying to understand
what exactly anyone is supposed to pay that much for.
At the beginning, the video shows the hotel from a distance,
sort of,
which already creates a particular impression.
It looks awful.
Like a garage.
Or a parking lot.
But Kyoto has its own preferences.
God be with it.
Then everything is in a traditional style.
It is not bad.
It is simply traditional, and that is all.
But in the video, the person keeps admiring every detail:
a wall,
a mug,
croissants,
some red little statue —
I do not even know what it is.
THE DIFFERENCE IN THINKING
You know how, if you do not tell a person that Crocs are Crocs,
they will never understand?
Essentially, they are just rubber clogs.
But Crocs are considered not merely rubber clogs.
And this, boys, is exactly what I see as the difference in thinking.
Do you understand?
There is a brand that tries,
invests,
does everything,
but for some reason they are not considered Crocs,
right?
Right.
Because both here and there,
they are rubber clogs.
But someone’s thinking is expanded enough
to become not just rubber clogs,
but to become Crocs.
So, in general,
this five-star hotel,
in my view,
is the same as any other.
Clean.
Neat.
A lot of space.
Calm shades.
You will never remember it once you leave.
That is all.
But when we understand that this is Ritz-Carlton,
then yes.
Ooooh.
Well, look at that.
Impressive.
Uhh… really?
Interesting.
Impressive how?
The price?
Because it is already obvious:
deadly boring.
A hotel without soul.
Booooring.
Moving on.
MOVING ON
https://youtu.be/57P1VlDPa-0?si=4AMAly5_KD6kOQWTHere, I only lasted until 0:42,
and even that was with skipping.
Guys,
and someone sleeps with that?
Or marries that?
Lord God.
NOW THIS
https://youtu.be/agC7qPfUqNA?si=a_xiPfUTM7Rjy4OsNow this.
As far as I understood,
a birthday.
And off they flew:
New York,
Paris.
Uhh.
🥱
Do you understand, guys?
I am not against shopping at all.
Not at all.
But here,
as far as I understood,
this was supposed to impress somehow.
I understood:
brands,
brands,
brands,
and brands.
If they filmed it,
then apparently this is something out of the ordinary,
something one is supposed to remember,
so they captured it.
But if you look closer…
I don’t even know, guys.
Is this really interesting?
They flew to Paris with a friend
with whom they most likely hang out all the time anyway.
And then, out of boredom:
food,
shopping.
I don’t know.
And honestly,
I am sure these brands exist in New York too.
In short:
deadly boring.
The hotel looks all right.
At least they invested something here.
Not a dream.
But you can spend the night there.
Do you understand, guys?
I consider this normal.
If you need something,
you go and buy the jewelry or the clothes.
It should not be some huge celebration.
That is how I see it.
YOUR OWN PEOPLE ARE THE MAIN RESOURCE
And you know,
it is easy to judge.
Yes.
But what would I offer as the opposite?
Of course:
your own people.
Boys, I always say it:
people.
Your own people are the main resource.
Whether Paris,
New York,
or Kyoto —
if your own people are not there,
what is the point of any of it?
I SEE IT LIKE THIS
I see it like this.
You should already be getting off the plane properly tipsy.
Or very close to it.
Same thing at the hotel.
And pretending to be responsible adults
with rain-soaked children.
Shushing each other in the elevator,
almost choking with laughter,
like,
“Don’t embarrass us.”
Somehow gathering the children together.
Naturally, they are cheeky beyond belief,
capricious,
do not want to do a thing.
Somehow crawling our way to the boutique.
There, while I choose jewelry with the girls,
the guys will fall asleep on luxurious beige sofas,
snoring shamelessly
and disgracing themselves.
Then we try to have dinner,
but everything is booked years in advance,
or everything is closed.
So the children are on the guys’ shoulders,
and a couple of them are holding the girls by the hand,
and we go to a toy store.
Because the genes of one very important ass refuse to let the celebration end.
IT IS UNCLEAR WHO IS HAPPIER
In the toy store,
it is unclear who is happier:
the children,
or Alpha and Kitten.
Kitten picks out little dolls
and hair clips for her daughter.
Alpha, meanwhile, with the guys:
water pistols,
toy cannons,
remote-controlled cars,
and all kinds of nonsense,
hiding behind the excuse that it is supposedly “for the children.”
The children, naturally,
are already so spoiled
that a toy store is almost a lazy routine for them.
But stuffing themselves with sweets —
yes.
Then, of course,
a walk,
trampolines,
amusement parks.
In short,
everything for the children.
Alpha and the guys will manage to get some sleep even there.
Finally,
everyone returns to the hotel.
The children have had a snack.
Now they are studying.
Lord God.
The guys supervise the process,
but every now and then
turn away to take a sip from a flask.
Finally,
after Alpha’s tears have been shed
and prayers that the child will understand
that you cannot take 4 apples from 10
and somehow still end up with 4,
the children are asleep.
NOW WE DANCE
Phew.
The girls are in full parade mode.
The door closes quietly.
Phew.
Now we dance.
Hug.
And shout for all of Paris to hear
that life is beautiful.
P.S.
If you need something a little more nerdy and serious, here it is:
P.S. The channel is actually really good.
I think the guy actually makes sense.
